Hello world!
Hello world!
This seems like an “out of the box” post and you might be wondering where the “lorem ipsum” is. But no, this is my official hello to the world because my blog is online again and in this time I’ll do it in English for the logical purpose of reaching more people.
So what happened? Well … when I’m not at work I’m genuinely quite lazy. A while ago I messed up my virtual server and suffered some nasty downtime. I had some pretty nice blogging ideas but didn’t feel like doing the necessary efforts to fix my server and put them online. It was actually Felix De Vliegher who forced me to do it via his Seven things blog post. The quote was:
Helgi Þormar Þorbjörnsson - because he likes to say meow (and also because he likes PEARs)
Marcus Boerger - For his work on SPL, and enjoyed meeting him at ZendCon ‘08
Ralph Schindler - For getting up at around 5am for helping out on our Bughuntday
Pierre-Alain Joye - For helping me out with starting to write PHPT tests
Christian Flickinger - For letting me meet the Double double animal style burger at ZendCon ‘08
Johannes Schlüter - Because I want to see if he’ll actually do this
Thijs Feryn - Because I hope he will again start a blog and share his ideas with the rest of us
So Felix, this one goes out to you!
That being said, I’ll be blogging about a lot about the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL & PHP) stack, but also a little bit about other things in life such as music & movies. You can follow me on Twitter as well where my screenname is @ThijsFeryn . I’ll setup a Twitterfeed pretty soon which will keep you updated on my latest blog posts.

Hey, good job Thijs ! I will update the Who tagged who map with your bloglink.
So, are you going to write your seven things meme ?
One little remark: if you talk about people or refering to a subject that can be reached via a hyperlink, it’s always good practice to provide links that way.
Ex.: You can follow me on Twitter as well where my screenname is @ThijsFeryn.
