Next Wednesday, PHPBelgium is having another user group meeting. This spring edition takes place in Gent again and will feature 2 talks including mine on command line PHP called CLI, the other SAPI.
First of all I would like to thank Felix, Michelangelo and Patrick from PHPBelgium for offering me this opportunity.
I have prepared a presentation on CLI PHP where there will mainly be an focus on the benefits of command line PHP. I’ll also talk about process control, forking, signals and parallel processing via PHP.
The second talk is one by Juliette Reinders Folmer. She’ll talk about UTF-8 which is a very hot topic these day. I very much look forward to seeing her in action, knowing that this is a tryout for her talk at the Dutch PHP Conference in June.
Another thing worth mentioning is that COMBELL, the web hosting company I work at, is one of the main sponsors and we have decided to host the event in our new office. Not only will the event take place in our conference room, our bar will be open as well. A great opportunity for socializing and networking.
